Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

TruceIT Tech (“TruceIT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides website design, hosting, and custom web development services through truceittech.com and the associated client dashboard (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By purchasing a package, completing onboarding, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated as part of building and hosting your website, and limited technical information collected automatically.

Account & billing information

  • Name, email address, and phone number used to register your account.
  • Billing address and subscription/package selection.
  • Payment details entered at checkout — see “Payment Information” below for how this is handled.

Onboarding & business information

To build your website, our onboarding wizard asks you for details about your business, which may include:

  • Business name, industry/category, and a description of your products or services.
  • Logo files, brand colors, fonts, and other visual assets.
  • Business hours, physical address, phone number, and public contact details.
  • Links to your existing social media profiles.
  • Photos, videos, written copy, and other content you upload for use on your site.
  • Your preferred domain name and, if applicable, an existing domain you want us to connect.

Automatically collected information

  • Device, browser type, and IP address.
  • Pages visited, referring URLs, and general usage patterns on truceittech.com and your client dashboard.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy for details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Design, build, and maintain the website or web application you’ve purchased.
  • Provision hosting, SSL, backups, and other technical infrastructure for your site.
  • Process subscription billing, send invoices, and manage your account.
  • Respond to support tickets, revision requests, and other communications.
  • Send service-related notices (e.g. billing reminders, project status updates, maintenance windows).
  • Improve the Service, including troubleshooting, security monitoring, and analytics.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy.

We do not sell your personal information or your clients’ data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Payment Information

All payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. TruceIT Tech does not directly store your full card number, CVV, or bank account credentials on our own servers — that data is transmitted directly to, and held by, our payment processor under their own security and compliance standards (including PCI-DSS, where applicable). We retain only limited billing metadata needed to manage your subscription, such as the last four digits of your payment method, billing history, and transaction status.

4. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Some cookies are set by third-party analytics providers. Full details, including how to disable cookies in your browser, are available in our Cookie Policy.

5. How We Share Information

We share information only where necessary to operate the Service:

  • Hosting providers— your website files, content, and associated data are stored on infrastructure operated by our hosting and cloud partners so your site can be served to visitors.
  • Payment processor— billing details are shared with our payment processor to complete transactions and manage your subscription.
  • Domain registrars— if you use our free or paid domain registration, limited contact information is shared with the registrar as required by domain registration rules.
  • Add-on service providers— if you purchase add-ons such as live chat, an AI chatbot, or email marketing integration, relevant data may be shared with that add-on’s underlying service provider so the feature can function.
  • Legal & safety— we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TruceIT Tech, our clients, or others.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain account, billing, and website content data for as long as your subscription is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements (typically up to 12 months following cancellation). Website files and uploaded content for cancelled accounts may be deleted from active hosting environments after this period. You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 8 below.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — including SSL encryption, automated backups, and access controls — to protect information stored on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or loss.

8. Your Rights & Choices

You may, at any time:

  • Access, review, or update the personal and business information associated with your account via your client dashboard.
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request that we delete your personal information, subject to our legitimate need to retain certain records (e.g. billing history) for legal or accounting purposes.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe link included in those emails.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@truceit.com. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
